朱竑，国家级人才、广东省领军人才（2016年）、教育部新世纪优秀人才（2007年）。1999年毕业于中山大学取得博士学位。曾供职中山大学、华南师范大学。兼任中国地理学会常务理事、中国地理学会研学工作组主任、中国地理学会文化地理专业委员会副主任委员。《地理科学》、《地理科学进展》副主编、《旅游学刊》、《人文地理》、《世界地理研究》、《热带地理》等杂志编委，兼任教育部高等学校地理科学类专业教学指导委员会委员、澳门科技大学客座教授、海南省南海战略研究会学术委员会副主任委员等学术职务。现任广州大学领军人才、广东省社会科学研究基地：广东省城市与移民研究中心主任、广东省普通高校特色新型智库“粤港澳大湾区移民治理与城市发展”主任，广东乡村地域系统野外科学观测研究站站长，担任学院学术委员会主任。
